In 2013, we celebrate our 50th birthday. Since the NRF was founded by Dr Trevor Dinning and Professor Donald Simpson, it has funded over $4.5 million in neurosurgical research. This includes the permanent endowment of both the NRF Professor of Neurosurgical Research and the Abbie Simpson Clinical Fellow at the University of Adelaide. The most recent priority – The Paediatric Appeal – aims to fund a paediatric research program at the Women’s & Children’s Hospital.

Professor Robert Vink’s expanding team of academics and clinicians continue to push the boundaries of knowledge. Together, through your support and our research, we have a proud record of accomplishment, supporting research into disease and injury of the brain and nerves. This translates into reduced pain for patients suffering from sciatica, cures for brain tumour sufferers and improved outcomes for people with stroke, brain injury and Parkinson’s disease.
