The NRF has funded over $8.7m of neurosurgical research, spanning 55 years from 1963 - 2018

2018:

  • NRF Brain Tumour Research Chair funded by a permanent endowment of $1 million at the University of South Australia

2015:

  • NRF Paediatric Neurosurgical Research funded by a permanent endowment of $1 million at the University of Adelaide.

2008:

  • Abbie Simpson Clinical Fellowship: the second position to be endowed by the NRF $800,000 at the University of Adelaide.

2004:

  • NRF Chair of Neurosurgical Research was funded by a permanent endowment of $1.8 million at the University of Adelaide.

1963 – 2018:

  • Research Grants of $4 million were awarded throughout Australia compromised of:
    • $2.4 million to the University of Adelaide
    • $400,000 to the University of South Australia
    • $1.2 million to various institutions nationally

Presidents of the NRF

The NeuroSurgical Research Foundation was founded in 1963 by Dr Trevor Dinning.
