The NRF NeuroSurgical Research Foundation has funded over $11m of neurosurgical research, spanning 59 years from 1963 - 2022

2018:

• NRF Brain Tumour Research Chair funded by a permanent endowment of $1 million at the University of South Australia

2015:

• NRF Paediatric Neurosurgical Research funded by a permanent endowment of $1 million at the University of Adelaide.

2008:

• Abbie Simpson Clinical Fellowship: the second position to be endowed by the NRF $800,000 at the University of Adelaide.

2004:

• NRF Chair of Neurosurgical Research was funded by a permanent endowment of $1.8 million at the University of Adelaide.

1963 – 2022:

• Research Grants of $6.7 million were awarded throughout Australia compromised of:
  • $3.6 million to the University of Adelaide
  • $1.2million to the University of South Australia
  • $.8 million to Flinders University
  • $1.1million SA Hospital Equipment

The NRF NeuroSurgical Research Foundation was founded in 1963 by Dr Trevor Dinning.
