We are proud to announce that $1,320 was raised for world-leading brain tumour research in South Australia on Saturday 5th December at the NRF Brain Tumour Christmas Lunch.
It was great that 36 people attended The Strathmore Hotel, and enjoyed a lovely lunch, and listened to the three brain tumour researchers from the University of South Australia’s Centre for Cancer Biology. Thank you to Professor Stuart Pitson, Research Associate Dr Lisa Ebert and Dr Melinda Tea for giving up their time to talk to the brain tumour community.
Thank you to everyone who donated, attended, bought raffle tickets or goods – your support means we can continue funding world-leading brain tumour research here in SA.
Thank you to Annette Taylor from the Adelaide Brain Tumour Support Facebook Group for thinking of the idea for the lunch and working with the NRF to make it happen. Thank you also to the Adult Brain Cancer Support Association for their support.
Thank you to everyone for being flexible and changing the date due to the COVID-19 outbreak and thank you to those people who donated their tickets even though they could not attend due to the date change, we really appreciate it.
