Grey May 2024 raises over $170,000
Thanks to your help we doubled our record from last year!
We would like to thank everyone who donated, fundraised through the raffle & auction, sponsored, bought a badge, beanie or star of hope, shared their story, attended an event, participated in our online auction, or got involved in any way to help spread awareness to Go Grey in May!
No matter how large or small, ALL of your contributions made a difference as 100% of your donations go straight to funding research into better treatments for brain tumours and ultimately a cure.
We would like to thank our wonderful sponsors and matching partners: The Memorial Hospital, Jones Radiology, Calvary Adelaide Hospital & St Andrews Hospital for supporting the giving day.
Thank you to all our wonderful prize donors and everyone who participated in our Grey May Online Auction & Raffle
We were also out & about during the month, with a stand each day of the week at The Memorial Hospital, Munno Para Foodland, Calvary Hospital and St Andrews Hospital; promoting Grey May, spreading awareness & fundraising.
The local support dog even came to say hi!
Foodland at Munno Para came onboard to raise awareness with donations to the raffle, and promoting the NRF during May, where supporters could donate and place tokens on a wall, as the photo below shows, the community were with us strength to strength!
881 tokens sold raising $2725!
We held a very successful Brain Tumour Research Update and Lab Tour in collaboration with Brain Tumour Research SA at the UniSA Centre for Cancer Biology. As usual the building lit up for the colours of May, this time even parliament showed their support too!
...and to close it all off we hosted a gathering at the Cathedral Hotel to celebrate the end of Grey May and the meet & greet of The SA Brain Tumour Support Nurse which was well attended by figures instrumental to the success of the posting of the position.
Brave for Dave was out in force once again in the Riverland region with attention at the local netball, hockey and footy games showing off their brand new merch to raise funds and awareness for the cause. They raised $6,805 in total, which is an amazing effort!
