Previous positions:

Don retired in 2006, after 40 years of employment in the finance industry. Don held positions in bond trading and investment management with Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Merril Lynch & Co, and Alliance Bernstein.

Sporting achievements:

Don was previously a marathon runner, but has since retired.

Other Boards and not-for-profit organisation involvement:

Don is on the Executive Committee for the St Peter's College Foundation, as well a member of the fundraising task force for St Peter's Cathedral Organ Appeal.

Involvement with the NRF:

Don’s first wife died of a brain tumour at the age of 37.

Personal motivations:

Don explains that “both [his] parents instilled [him] with a very ambitious work ethic.”

Bio:

Don joined the St Peter's College Foundation Board in November 2008 and was appointed Vice President in May 2017. He is a current parent.

Don has a BA in Political Science from Villanova University, Villanova, Pennsylvania. He is a Lieutenant in the US Naval Reserve, having served in Vietnam. After almost 40 years of employment in the finance industry, he retired in 2006, having held positions in fixed income sales and trading and investment management with Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch & Co, and Alliance Bernstein. He is a founder and past President of Villanova University Financial Club of Wall Street and an active member of the Neurosurgical Research Foundation Board and Executive Committee and Chairman of the Investment Committee. He is also member of the Fundraising Task Force for the St Peter's Cathedral organ. Don was formerly registered with the New York Stock Exchange, Commodities and Future Exchange and National Association of Securities Dealers.
